Analysis of a hydro-pneumatic cab damping system
This project involved analysing the dynamic behaviour of a hydro-pneumatic cab damping system for mobile-hydraulic applications. A complex simulation model takes into account the three-dimensional kinematic structure of the cab suspension, the behaviour of all involved hydraulic components, the elasticity of the mechanical bearing points and the dynamic loads introduced by various driving situations and ground surface properties.
The analysis provided detailed information on the dynamic decoupling between vehicle and cab and enabled focused optimisation of all relevant elements and parameters.
