This trade-fair exhibit addressing the topic of closed-loop control of electro-hydraulic drives is based on a hexapod structure with six position-controlled electro-hydraulic cylinder drives. Automated control is used to guide a bowling ball to the target through a moving maze.
A frame attached to the maze holds a camera that determines the current position of the ball using image recognition-software and feeds this position back to a control. The control determines the inclination of the table required to move the ball through the obstacle course towards the target. To realise the table motion, the required cylinder strokes are computed and sent as target values to the cylinder’s six lower-level closed-loop position control circuits.
